Jonathan Kaiho
Associate Attorney
Jonathan Kaiho is an associate attorney with Hughes & Sullivan. While specializing in general dissolution cases, Mr. Kaiho has a background in business law and accounting, which gives him a competitive edge in family law.
Born in Yokohama, Japan, Mr. Kaiho is fluent in Japanese and intimately familiar with the Japanese culture. With respect to his undergraduate education, Mr. Kaiho attended Boston University, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. After graduation, Mr. Kaiho moved to Tokyo, Japan, where he worked for a multi-national chemical manufacturing company and was a law clerk in a Japanese law firm. For his legal education, Mr. Kaiho graduated from Arizona State University with his JD/MBD, specializing in business law. During law school, Mr. Kaiho was a judicial law clerk for a commissioner who was on the family law bench. Additionally, Mr. Kaiho actively participated in his law school's program which gave legal advice to women who had experienced domestic violence. Continually striving to excel, Mr. Kaiho is now fulfilling the requirements to become a CPA.
Prior to joining Hughes & Sullivan, Mr. Kaiho was a judicial law clerk for a year at the Superior Court of Pima County. During that experience, he became intimately familiar with family law procedures, and wrote several family law decisions.
"Throughout the course of my legal education, I have actively sought out opportunities to hone my family law expertise," said Mr. Kaiho. "As a child of eight whose mother had to struggle through the process of divorce, I understand that the divorce process is complicated and personal. I will make it my job to guide you through this process smoothly and efficiently."
Mr. Kaiho is a member of the Orange County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in both Arizona and California. An Arizona native, Mr. Kaiho enjoys spending his free time exploring Southern California.
