As a founding partner of Hughes & Sullivan, Richard P. Sullivan brings to the firm more than 20 years of experience in family law. Prior to forming Hughes & Sullivan, Mr. Sullivan operated his own successful family law firm in Orange County, California.

As an expert trial attorney, Mr. Sullivan's courtroom skills are unmatched in the field. His dedication to thorough preparation, proven strategies, and flawless courtroom delivery has earned him the respect of colleagues and judges throughout the county. With strength, ability, and compassion as his hallmarks, he is often appointed by the court to represent children.

A graduate of Western State University College of Law, Mr. Sullivan is a member of the California State Bar Association as well as the Orange County Bar Association Family Law Section. He remains active in the local community as a member of the Tustin Area Rotary Club.

A devoted husband and proud father of two active teenage boys, Mr. Sullivan also enjoys participating in school and sporting events with his family, motorcycle riding, running, golf, tennis, and weight lifting. He climbed Mt. Whitney in the summer of 2008.
